The demand for skilled personnel will be a challenge for the region of Upper Austria in the coming years. There is already a shortage of skilled people in some areas - in the IT sector, for example - and demographic developments will continue to heighten the situation over the medium term. In order to maintain economic growth in Upper Austria, we are going beyond the borders of our province to present Upper Austria abroad as an attractive place to work and study. We have also taken measures to encourage people to return to Upper Austria - students from Upper Austria who go to university in other provinces, for example.
